Camping at Mellow Farm is about getting back to the grassroots. We do not have marked out pitches, electric hook up, Wi-Fi or Jacuzzis!
The Campsite
As a working farm we only open at weekends from May until September inclusive and the fields are used at other times of the year for livestock so may not be beautifully flat and firm, hence we do not allow caravans or motor homes, only small camper vans such as the famous VW. If you arrive with something larger you may find yourself being turned away.
There is plenty of space for children and adults to play with balls, bats and even bicycles! All three camping fields border the River Wey, enjoyed by children and adults. We strongly recommend adult supervision of children at all times while you are on the farm.
Each field has access to showers, toilets and washing up sinks. Two of the fields have portaloos as well and they are all cleaned daily.
No on ground fires are allowed at Mellow Farm but you can bring your own if it is raised off the ground or alternatively hire one of ours when you book. We also come around each evening and sell bags of logs. We do not allow disposable BBQ’s.
Freshly laid eggs, homemade sausages and bacon from our own traditional breed pigs can be bought from the reception alongside delicious jams and chutneys made from hedgerow fruits and our garden produce.
